Does Vev charge VAT or sales tax?
Vev is required to charge VAT/sales tax on the Vev+ subscription in certain countries. And can depend on whether you are a business or an individual in some countries.
Sales taxes can be pretty difficult, unfortunately. The short of it is:
- Prices displayed within the tool are excluding tax/VAT until checkout.
- Purchases made from within the iOS app, are including VAT/Tax.
Depending on the region you are in, Vev is required to charge the applicable VAT or sales tax. After completing the payment, you can download a PDF for your records. In most regions, businesses are able to get the VAT back from their local tax authority.
When you've purchased a subscription from within the iOS app, the subscription price includes the applicable sales tax. If you're a business, in some regions you can deduct the subscription costs from your business tax.
When purchasing the subscription from within the web-application, prices displayed are excluding taxes/VAT, and the final price is automatically calculated to include relevant taxes based on your region. By entering your business tax ID, the taxes are automatically deducted.
